The
Centre participated in the early African Organizations Forum
within the framework of the work of the African Committee
for Human and People's Rights, 44th Round, held in the
Nigerian capital of Abuja from 7-10 November 2008. The
centre was represented by:
A. Ustaz:
Mashaa'er Ahmad Al Ameen – Director General.
B. Dr.
Muhammad Al Fatih Braima – Centre's Advisor.
The Centre
issued three written statements on elections in Sudan, the
children used by the Equality and Justice Movement in the
attack against Umdurman, the Darfur children abducted by the
Arche Dezuei Organization. These were distributed in the
Organizations' Forum and in the opening session in the
African Committee.
The Centre's
delegation made a number of meetings including Mr. Francis
Naggar, legal advisor of the African Committee of Human and
Peoples Rights. He is responsible for the procedures of the
supervisor capacity; Mrs. Sanghi, Head of the African
Committee for Human Rights, and Mrs. Swyata Mabga, Special
Rapporteur of Children Traffick in the Higher Commission of
Human Rights (UN).
It is worth
mentioning that this forum was a gathering venue in which
about 120 persons of 28 countries participated.
