The
Manager General of the Society
Studies, Ustaza Mashaer Ahmed Al Amin, accompanied by Dr.
Mohamed Al Fatih Braima, Chief of the Human Rights file,
participated in the continued sixth session of the Human
Rights Council that convened in Geneva between 10 – 14
December, 2007.
The
center took part in this under the umbrella of the Sudanese
Council of Voluntary Organizations (SCOVO). The center in a
joint venture with SCOVO drafted a written statement on the
crime of the abduction of Darfurian children in Chad,
carried out by the French Organization L’Arche de Zoe.
Moreover, the centre’s delegation took part in all the
sessions held by the Human Rights Council and in all
activities on the part of the confederation of the
participating Sudanese organizations. These efforts
comprised a forum on the abduction of the Darfurian
children, a press conference and a silent demonstration in
front of the United Nations Building. |
