The
Center participated in the conference of the (DPI) on human
rights together with the non-governmental organizations from
2-6 September 2008 in Paris, France, on the 60th anniversary
of the International Declaration of Human Rights. This was
the Centre's first participation after obtaining the
consultative capacity of the UN. The Centre was represented
there by:

- Dr.
Muhammad Al Fatih Braima - in charge of the Department of
Human Rights in the Centre.
- Ustaz:
Rihab Shabbu – in charge of activities in the Centre.
The Centre's
activities involved a number of sessions following Mr. Ban
Kee Mon addressing of the opening session through the video,
as well as 5 round tables the last of which discussed
Sudan's issue of Darfur and the International Criminal
Court's arrested warrant against the President Omar
AlBasheer.
Dr. Muhammad
Alfaith Braima – the Centre's representative – participated
in the discussions of the subsidiary session of the 5th
round table run by Mrs. Fanno Binsoda - the Vice Public
Prosecutor of the (ICC), making some points of
Sudan's concern with human rights.
